Land development is the only work we do.
Bailey Engineering partners with experienced developers shaping some of the fastest-growing communities in the Treasure Valley. Our projects are visible, long-term, and consequential — neighborhoods people will live in for decades.
We are structured, process-driven, and deadline-focused. Our developer clients expect clarity and execution — and we deliver both.
We are seeking a motivated civil engineering student for a hands-on internship working on active subdivision projects. This is real engineering work — not fetching coffee or filing paperwork. The internship may convert to a full-time position upon completion.
What you would learn.
You would work alongside licensed Professional Engineers on active subdivision projects — exposed to the full civil land development process. That includes:
- Surveying and field data collection
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D production
- Grading design for subdivision projects
- Drainage and stormwater analysis
- Utility design and coordination
- SWPPP preparation and groundwater monitoring
- Code review and agency submittals
- Construction inspection and field support
You'll be held to the same professional standards as the rest of the team — and supported every step of the way.
How we operate.
We operate with structure and predictability. We solve problems directly and professionally. Our core values drive performance:

We measure, refine, and strengthen how we deliver.
Own It!
We take responsibility for deadlines and outcomes.
Do the Math
We think before we draw.
We Not Me!
We collaborate above the line.
Interns are part of the team. The same expectations. The same support. The same chance to contribute meaningfully.
What success looks like.
- Contributing meaningfully to active subdivision projects
- Developing real Civil 3D proficiency
- Understanding the complete land development lifecycle
- Demonstrating initiative, reliability, and curiosity
- Earning a full-time job offer
